Buenos Aires, December 23 (NA) – Lawyer Nicolás Payarola will remain detained after the justice system ordered his preventive detention in the framework of the investigation into alleged frauds.
Defense attorney Luciano Locatelli confirmed to the Argentine News Agency that the former lawyer for TV host Wanda Nara and footballer Gonzalo Montiel will remain in custody following the decision of prosecutor Cosme Iribarren, in charge of UFI No. 10 of Benavídez.
Payarola is being investigated for the crimes of fraud, fraud by fraudulent administration, and money laundering of illicit origin.
The only confirmed complaint was filed by Montiel, involving a sum close to 700 thousand dollars.
The lawyer has been imprisoned since November 28 following a raid in Nordelta, where documentation, digital storage devices, and cell phones were seized.

The investigation began after the complaints of the victims: Maria Ximena Braña, Juan Marcelo Montiel (a relative of the defense attorney), Macarena Posee, Silvana de Leonardis, Debora Grecco, and Norma Graciela Vignoni.
